What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • PestsHigher risk

Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.

Recorded once on February 19, 2026. For example: Is the facility free of a pest infestation?

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Most jurisdictions require a certified food handler or manager on site, and some require allergen or food-worker training. These findings mean the paperwork or the trained person was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean food was handled unsafely.

Recorded once on February 19, 2026. For example: Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?

      • In the back room storage area, at the floor level under the shelving units, the PHI observed some mouse droppings in various areas. Also there were some sticky glue boards that were empty, a wooden snap trap that had been sprung and at least one bait station.Corrective Actions - clean the floors of all mouse droppings and debris, and continue to do this on at least a monthly basis for this area. - distribute traps/glue boards/bait stations under all shelf units in the room - keep as many boxes as possible (especially food and food related items (cases of take out containers) up and off of the floor - this will make seeing any mouse activity easier as well as making the floor cleaning easier.
