    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • At time of inspection:1. A black shoe/boot storage cabinet (located at the rear door - close to the infant room) was quite high and was not secured to the wall. This device could fall on a child in care.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Ensure the rear black shoe/boot cabinet is secured to the wall or secured/anchored in such a way that it cannot fall onto a child in care.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • At time of inspection:1. (Daycare room #1) - One chemical spray bottle was noted in an unlocked cabinet (below the main hand sink in the bathroom).The owner / operator of this facility is requested to immediately conduct the following, namely:1. Remove the chemical spray bottle and either store in a more appropriate location or secure this cabinet to ensure children do not have easy access.******THIS ISSUE WAS ADDRESSED DURING INSPECTION.

      • At time of inspection:1. Some cabinets (within some rooms were not secured to the wall and can create a fall hazard onto a child.The owner / operator of this facility is requested to conduct the following, namely:1. Go through all cabinets within each room (i.e. that are high / heavy). Ensure all cabinets that are high and heavy are reasonably secured to the wall to help ensure these structures do not potentially fall on a child in care.ALSO - As a general reminder - please ensure all chemical spray bottles are labelled. Most were labeled; however, one was not but it appeared to be a brand new bottle.
