      • Some loose staples noted in Room F. **All staples were removed by the Director.**
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kit in Room D was missing a couple items.**Director has restocked the first aid kit. Ensure to check First Aid Kits in all rooms to ensure it is fully stocked.**

    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • CPR resuscitation barrier device missing in the classroom emergency kits. **Please ensure to have a CPR resuscitation barrier device in each classroom emergency kit. This is required for all backpacks taken to offsite activities.**
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A handrail is missing along the exterior staircase right outside the basement classroom. **If this door and staircase is used to access the playground or as an emergency exit a handrail must be installed along the exterior staircase.**

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • All of the hand wash soap bottles have grime build up; replace all of the hand soap bottles with new ones.Ensure that the area around the hand basin in the diapering area has been repaired - resealed and replace the swelled back splash board.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Indoor climbers were in a carpeted room with thin matting; requested MIFU to stipulate matting requirements operator does not have any therefore it was removed and not permitted to be used.Thick crib mattresses are being used throughout the daycare as a cozy corner furnishing; replace with appropriate sofas for the children to prevent them from injury.
    • 23. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Critical)?
      • The Ikea cribs proposed to be used for babies - please provide supporting documentation and also confirm that they meet crib safety standards and have not been recalled.
    • 28. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Critical)?
      • New washroom stall doors have been installed; however they have not been sealed. Ensure that the doors are sealed.

      • Downstairs in disrepair due to the leak.Please confirm with restoration that no moisture is in the flooring and walls. Please provide supporting documentation.
    • 28. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Critical)?
      • Due to a leaking valve/ toilet the downstairs washrooms are inoperable at present and in disrepair. Please contact AHS once restoration and repairs have been completed, and provide supporting documentation.
