    • Compliant with requirements for hand washing sinks
      • Fail to perform hand washing in the designated hand washing sink. Operator/PSW must ensure that hand washing is only performed in the designated hand washing sink.
    • All work and/or contact surfaces cleaned and then disinfected
      • Fail to clean and then disinfect all work and/or contact surfaces after each client. Operator/PSW must clean and then disinfect all work and/or contact surfaces after each client.
      • Operator/PSW must clean and then disinfect all work and/or contact surfaces as per the “Cleaning, Disinfection & Sterilization Flowchart” provided by the health department.
    • Reusable items that are not cleaned immediately after each use to be soaked in a labelled, covered container of adequate size
      • Fail to soak dirty reusable items, if not cleaned immediately, in a labelled, covered container of adequate size. Operator/PSW must soak dirty reusable instruments, if not cleaned immediately, in a labelled, covered container of adequate size.
    • All reusable items and/or equipment cleaned and then disinfected or sterilized, as applicable
      • Fail to thoroughly clean reusable items and/or equipment using a detergent solution and a brush before disinfection or sterilization. Operator/PSW must thoroughly clean reusable items and/or equipment using a detergent solution and a brush before disinfection or sterilization.
      • Operator/PSW must follow the proper cleaning and disinfection or sterilization procedure as per the “Cleaning, Disinfection & Sterilization Flowchart” provided by the health department.
