    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Mop sink is leaking, deteriorating the floor tile in the mop room. Wall around mop sink is etched and not smooth. There is a work order in place to replace the mop sink and floor. *Repair / replace leaking mop sink. Repair flooring in the mop room. *Mud and sand the wall damage around the mop sink and finish with paint sealant.
    • 26. Have plans for construction or alteration of this facility been submitted for approval?
      • Reportedly, mop sink repair is being worked into the renovation plans for the facility. Please submit the renovation / construction plans and new floor plans to our office for review and approval prior to commencing contruction.

    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Sandwhich fridge temperature measured 7 degrees Celsius. Thermometer in the snack fridge and sandwich fridge do not appear to be functional since dial stays in one place. *Adjust cooler to operate at 4 degrees or less and monitor cooler temperature. *Replace cooler thermometers.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Certified pest control notes reviewed on site, which discussed the same. Mice droppings are accumulating in the miscellaneous storage room and beverage storage room behind the walk-in cooler. There is no door sweep under the door to the storage room which could allow mice to enter.*Move everything stored in this space to clean and sanitize the areas of droppings.*Install a door strip to close up gap between the door and the floor.

      • Two ceiling tiles are missing or not in place in the storage room, and another ceiling tile is bumped up. Mop sink is leaking, deteriorating the floor tile in the mop room. Wall around mop sink is etched and not smooth. There is a work order in place to replace the mop sink and floor. *Move ceiling tiles in place to protect storage room.*Repair / replace leaking mop sink. Repair flooring in the mop room. *Mud and sand the wall damage around the mop sink and finish with paint sealant.
