      • Toddler room- An unstable blue vertical shelf was observed in the sign center area. As an interim safety measure, the Assistant Director repositioned the shelf between two stable pieces of equipment to prevent items from falling off the shelf. The director will request maintenance to better secure the shelf.

      • - Observed multiple electrical outlets throughout the program rooms that did not have an electrical cover to prevent child access, and minimize the risk of an electrical hazard - Please ensure all electrical outlets in reach of children have an electrical installed to minimize the risk of an electrical hazard.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • In the kinder room, the handwashing sink base cabinet are showing signs of deterioration. Observed tape being used as a temporary repair solution. Please ensure the deterioration and damage to the handwashing sink base cabinet is repaired to allow for proper cleaning and disinfection of the surface.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • - In the kinder room, the water temperature at the hand sink measured 56.5 degrees Celsius. The operator was informed to have maintenance adjust the plumbing to ensure a water temperature below 54 degrees Celsius to minimize the risk of scalding to the hands of children. A temperature better 34 - 49 degrees Celsius is recommended to promote adequate handwashing.

      • - In the preschool and kinder room, there are no cleaning schedules to assist in ensuring routine cleaning and disinfection of surfaces, and equipment is performed. - Please ensure cleaning schedules are created for the noted rooms to promote clean and sanitary conditions.
