    • 05. Do food handlers refrain from handling food while ill and have acceptable attire and hygiene?
      • 1. It was noted that food handlers were not washing hands in between tasks. Importance of hand washing was discussed with the operator during the inspection. Hands must be washed in between tasks, before putting gloves on and after taking them off. Please wash hands. 2. Used glove was noted on prep counter. Please be advised that gloves are considered single use and must discarded after use. Please do not store used gloves on prep counters. The used glove was discarded during the inspection.
    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Staff personal items were stored on prep counter.All staff personal items were moved during the inspection. The operator was further advised not to store staff personal items on prep counters.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Frozen chicken burgers were noted to be stored at room temperature. Please be advised that all high-risk food items must either be stored in a cooler maintained at or below 4 degrees C or in a hot holding unit maintained at or above 60 degrees C. Please be advised that all food items must be cooked at the internal temperature of 74 degrees C. Please be advised that high risk food items can only be stored at room temperature for maximum of two hours. The surface temperature of burgers was noted to be at two degrees C and these were moved in the walk-in-cooler during the inspection.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Ice buildup was noted inside the chest freezer. Please defrost the chest freezer.
