Inspection summary
Starbucks Coffee #4558 has been inspected 10 times by Fraser Health Authority since July 26, 2018. The most recent inspection, on June 10, 2026, found no infractions.
4 of 10 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 1 infraction recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Pests, Cleaning and sanitizing and Handwashing and staff hygiene.
The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on June 25, 2024. For example:
304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded once on September 13, 2021. For example:
302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk
Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.
Recorded once on September 6, 2019. For example:
401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk
Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.
Recorded 4 times across 4 separate inspections, most recently on November 4, 2025. For example:
306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]

- 304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
- Observation: Drain flies noted in the back of premises, under and around refresher prep and storage space extending to grease trap. Currently minor population, but given the noted accumulation of damp water in the back in the same area, and the food accumulations in the front in areas, there is potential for populations to grow. Management is aware of problem and is working with Pest Control to deal with issue at the source, the grease trap. A plan is in place.
- Corrective Action(s): Improve the cleaning under and around refresher prep station, removing accumulations of moisture and food. Focus on areas around legs of equipment and grease trap.
- If flies are accessing the grease trap (observed running around the floor in area) make sure the trap seal is tight and/or spray floor cleaner around this space on daily basis to disrupt the breeding cycle of this insect.
- *Note: Plan in place for Pest Control to be coordinated with grease trap cleaning to eliminate at source.
