    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • MODERATE FLY ISSUE IN DINING AREA + BACK KITCHEN AREA:1) Purchase/install fly light control devices - can be acquired on-line (e.g. - Amazon) and ensure device purchased is meant for a "food establishment". Should be placed in both dining area + in back kitchen area for more effective fly control management.2) Existing screen door for Staff/delivery entrance should be replaced with a magnetized mesh screen and which is attached to the door frame via velcro. This type of screen would be more practical particularly for deliveries where the screen door would have to be propped open for several minutes and potentially allow entry of insects such as flies.APRIL 10, 2026 UPDATE:The above required work (regarding pest control) has yet to be completed and therefore is still in non-compliance.Please ensure that these requirements are completed by no later than Friday April 17, 2026.Photographs of the completed work are to be emailed to our Department for our review and approval.Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • 1) Floor tiles underneath the 3-compartment stainless steel sinks are unclean and/or permanently stained and also not in good repair - the same condition is also for the flooring in front of the walk-in freezer. Since effective cleaning is compromised with the condition of the existing flooring, our Department would ask the owner to remove and replace the floor finish. This same condition of flooring has also been observed on past inspection and subsequently needs immediate addressing.
