      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Sanitizer (QUAT) detected in sanitizer spray bottles was measured at 50ppm. (Public Health Significance) Sanitizing (QUAT) solutions must reach 200ppm to destroy harmful microbes on surfaces.
      • Corrective Action: Operator change sanitizing solution immediately and it was able to reach an effective concentration of 200ppm.

    • 205 - Critical Cold potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above 4 °C. [s. 14(2)]
      • Observation: Potentially hazardous cold foods are stored at above 4°C. Observed that the internal temperature of various food items (chopped lettuce, eggs, and rice) in the open top cooler ranged from 8°C-16°C at 2:00pm. Operator mentioned that the food items have been out in the cooler since 10:30 am. (Public Health significance) - All potentially hazardous foods must be stored at below 4°C or above 60°C - out of the danger zone to prevent bacterial growth and possibly food borne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator voluntarily discarded the temperature abused food items and diled down the temperature setting on the sandwich cooler. Operator to monitor the temperature of the sandwich cooler and ensure it is reaching 4C or less before reusing it for storing potentially hazardous foods. If the sandwich cooleris not working, operator must get it fixed by a professional.

      • Observation: The posted permit had an expired decal ( red expiry 2021).
      • Corrective Action: Ensure a valid decal is posted on the permit in a conspicuous location.
