- 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
- Bulk, dry food items located in the dining tent (cereal) and pantry tent (sugar, flour) are not properly covered when not in use. Ensure that these items are covered so they are protected from pests and other sources of external contamination. Recommend transferring contents into sealed, food-grade containers.
- 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
- There was no handwash station located in close proximity to the kitchen trailer. Ensure that food preparation staff have easy access to a handwash station. Staff onsite will convert one compartment of the 3-compartment sink into a handwash station during food preparation time.
- 18. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this food facility (Non-Critical)?
- The potable water pipes leading away from the storage bladder were in contact with the ground. Ensure that the pipes containing potable water are positioned off the ground or have some sort of barrier between the pipe and ground.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- The kitchen trailer floor had portions which were unfinished or in disrepair. Ensure that the flooring is refinished such that it is smooth, durable, non-porous, and easily cleanable.
