    • No person may prepare, hold for sale or supply of services for remuneration, receive, purchase for resale, offer for sale or deposit, sell, give for promotional purposes, transport, cause to be transported or accept for transport, any product intended for human consumption that is unfit for such consumption, that is altered so as to render it unfit for such consumption, that is not safe for such consumption or that does not comply with the requirements of this Act and the Regulations.

    • Marine products shall only be exposed outside the refrigeration facility for the time required for preparation and cutting operations. Marine products offered for retail sale must be placed in a refrigerated counter at a temperature not exceeding 4oC and frozen marine products must be placed in a refrigerated counter at a temperature not exceeding -18oC. Semi-preservations may be placed in a refrigerated counter at a temperature not exceeding 10oC. Unpackaged marine products stored in a refrigerated counter must be protected from public handling. The refrigerated counter must also be so arranged as to be free from any accumulation of water or exudates.
