- Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Accumulation of dirt was observed on the ice catcher inside the ice machine, indicating cleaning of the Ice machine is not done regularly.
- Corrective Action: Staff was told to immediately clean the ice catcher and discard the Ice. * Ensure to develop a routine cleaning schedule for the ice machine. Ice is considered a food and can be contaminated if the ice machine is not cleaned regularly. Ensure the interior and exterior of the ice machine is cleaned regularly to ensures the ice is safe to serve to customers.
- 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
- Observation: The hot water faucet was not functioning at the time of Inspection, compromising the ability to wash hands effectively.
- Corrective Action: Repair or replace the hot water faucet to ensure there is available hot and cold running water during hand washing at all time to prevent cross contamination and facilitate proper hand washing.
