    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • -Old mouse droppings were found in the storage room by the gym. Please clean all old mouse droppings and clean and disinfect items within the storage room. Please inspect the other rooms for signs of droppings. If droppings are present, clean and disinfect ** April 27 2026 re-inspection: Droppings were cleaned at the time of the inspection. April 27 2026 report from Orkin noted 51-75 percent of bait consumed - indicating mouse activity still present at the facility. Please continue pest control and daily cleaning/sanitation to remove mouse droppings and continue providing pest reports ** ** Additional recommendations were provided by the Orkin technicians during the service visit, including sealing the gap beneath the exterior door in the Glacier Room, addressing and sealing potential entry points along the rear of the building where mulch meets the flashing, and installing steel wool along the front of the building between the concrete and flashing as a rodent exclusion measure. A reinspection with Orkin will take place in two weeks. The operations manager and onsite maintenance team provided verbal confirmation that the recommended corrective actions will be completed. ** ** June 25 2026: Steel wool installed, concrete was observed poured around the rear exterior of the building, and door gaps were closed. 2 mouse droppings were observed in the storage room at the time of the visit (they appeared to be old droppings). June 18 2026 pest report noted that there was 1-25 percent bait consumed in kitchen area indicating ongoing mice activity. Please continue pest control and clean/ remove all droppings. -

    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • -Various hand sinks throughout the facility did not have warm water when the hot water tap was on. The hand sink in the Hare room was measured at 12C, the wolf room had a hand sink temperature of 16.8C, and the middle sink in the mountain rooms bathroom was cold to the touch. Please adjust the hot water temperature for the hand sinks throughout the facility are supplying warm water that is comfortable for use. Recommended temperature is 49C and cannot exceed a maximum of 54C.**April 27, 2026, re-inspection: Hot water was sufficient in the Hare Room and Wolf Room, but not the Mountain Room.       • 1.The diapering mat in the Bear room and the Hare room was in disrepair.Please repair/replace the mats so they are smooth, waterproof, and easy to clean

      • Push pins were being used in the buffalo room. Please ensure push pins are not used in play areas used by children

      • Booster seats were stored on top of the crib in the wolf room creating a fall hazard.Operators removed the booster seat during the inspection.

      • 1.The diapering mat in the Bear room and the Hare room was in disrepair.Please repair/replace the mats so they are smooth, waterproof, and easy to clean2. The outside door in the gym had cement stuck on the bottom of the door. Please remove the cement the door is smooth and easy to clean.

      • - Two ceiling tiles in the hallway near the storage room were water stained. **Determine the source of water causing for the stain and properly repair. Assess the interior cavity for any water damage or mold growth and remediate if necessary. Remove water-stained ceiling tile and replace with all new materials and continue to monitor. -
    • 26. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Critical)?
      • -Several mouse droppings were observed in the kitchen cupboard under the sink and behind the fridge. ** Hire a professional pest control company to inspect, treat, and eradicate the mouse infestation in the facility. Seal all mouse entry points. Ensure all mouse droppings and contaminated surfaces are cleaned to allow for monitoring. Do not sweep or vacuum when removing the mouse droppings. Clean and disinfect hard surfaces with a strong bleach solution ( 1 part bleach in 9 parts water). Provide all relevant pest control documentation and work completed to your local public health inspector for review. ** Work is in progress. Facility has contracted the services of Orkin to help with the eradication of mice in the facility. Main pest entry points in the mechanical room had already been patched up, and the weatherstripping around the door of the mechanical room was installed/ replaced to make it pest proof.-
