      • Chlorine sanitizing solutions that were being used for regular day cleaning was measured to be at over 500 ppm.The solution was diluted and remeasured to be at 100 ppm. Please ensure that sanitizing solutions being used are maintained at appropriate concentrations.

      • New chlorine test strips obtained were pool test strips and does not have the correct concentration range. Ensure test strips can read up to 200ppm chlorine.

      • The disinfectant solution was not labelled in the baby room. The bottle was labelled immediately upon request.

      • Chlorine test strips were expired. Obtain new chlorine test strips to ensure appropriate concentration of disinfectant.

      • The two diapering mats in the preschool washroom was observed to be torn and the surface was not smooth, durable, and impervious to moisture to facilitate ease of cleaning. Replace the diapering mats.

      • The bleach solution in the kinder room used for disinfection was measured to be over 200ppm chlorine. A new solution was prepared upon request measuring 100ppm chlorine. Ensure test strips are available to verify adequate concentration.

      • The water temperature measured 50°C at the kinder washroom sink. Adjust the water temperature such that it is between 37°C and 43°C.

      • Several pieces of clothing were observed to be in contact in the kinder room storage area. Ensure each client's personal items and clothing have sufficient space for storage and are not in contact with other client's items.

      • The diapering table safety belt in the Exploration Zone room was missing a piece to secure the belt. Ensure the belt is repaired/replaced so a suitable restraint is available.

      • The maximum hot water at child accessible sinks was measured between 53-54C. Please ensure the maximum hot water temperature is set to a maximum of 49C (recommended 43C)
