      • The first aid kit in Room 2 had expired antiseptic wipes. REQUIREMENT: Routinely check the first aid kits and ensure that any expired products are replaced.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • The storage space in Room 4 is crowded; items unrelated to the daycare and child-minding operation are being stored in this room, and currently the room could not be properly cleaned or checked for pests.REQUIREMENT: Remove items which are unrelated to the daycare and child-minding program, or ensure that there is adequate storage/organization to facilitate cleaning and pest checks in this space.

      • In Room 2, a spray bottle filled with alcohol (presumably rubbing alcohol) was present and labelled as such. The operator could not provide an explanation as to how the spray bottle is being used, but it's presumed that it's being used to sanitize surfaces.REQUIREMENT: Investigate why the alcohol and the spray bottle is being used. If used for sanitizing surfaces, discontinue this practice and use an approved sanitizer (e.g. 100 ppm bleach sanitizer).
