- Employees were observed wearing gloves while switching between tasks, including taking orders on the till and then preparing drinks. No direct hand contact with food was observed.Glove protocol was discussed with the supervisor.Hands must be washed prior to putting gloves on.When gloves become soiled, they must be discarded, hands washed, and new gloves put on.Gloves must be changed between unrelated tasks (eg cleaning and food handling, or handling payment and food handling).AHS Guidance on Glove Use provided via email.

- There were many uncovered food items present, including bread, bagels, sandwich fillings, donut glaze, and cooling donuts.There were plastic sheets mostly covering the back of the front display cases.Temporary plastic was in use at the sandwich/bagel station and for one donut rack; however, these did not effectively prevent the entry of pests.Ensure all food is kept covered and protected from contamination. Permanent effective covers are highly recommended as sheet plastic is difficult to clean and use.Items cooling should be monitored and covered as soon as possible. Over the rack covers are recommended.Covers must be food grade and capable of effectively keeping out flies and other pests.

- Paper towel was not present in the dispenser at the front hand sink.Ensure paper towel is replaced in in the dispenser immediately. Paper towel must be available in the dispenser at all times.Paper towel was placed into the dispenser during inspection.

- 1. Approximately 10-15 flies were observed throughout the establishment.Facility has recently installed a second fly light near the drive thru window. A pest control report was available for August. The facility reported that the pest control operator conducted a visit in September; however, the report was not readily available.The back door seems to have shifted and is difficult to open/close. If left slightly open to facilitate entry/exit, there are gaps were pests may enter.It was reported that patrons dump garbage in the drive thru and this attracts flies.Action items:- ensure pest control reports are readily available and follow direction provided by the pest control company- additional fly control may be needed- ensure drive thru and the parking lot are cleaned daily- repair the back door so it is able to be easily closed and forms a tight seal 2.
