    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • July 16, 2024 Staff used middle comp of 3 comp sink for dirty food equipment/utensil storage and conducted wash in 1st comp, then sanitize in 3rd comp without rinse between. Please ensure staff conduct wash with detergent in 1st comp, rinse with clean water in middle comp, then sanitize by complete immersion in an approved sanitizer in the 3rd comp.Sept 12, 2025The sink compartment for sanitizing was partially obstructed by a drain board. Space was inadequate to allow food equipment to be fully submerged in the sanitizer. Remove the drain board so that all sink compartments are fully accessible for proper dishwashing. Ensure there is sufficient space to air dry food equipment.Oct 15, 2025 The same violation noted on Sept 12, 2025 was observed again. The operator advised that a wall mounted drain rack will be installed above the dishwashing sink.

      • Repeating violationThere was one live fly in the front kitchen. Dead flies were noted on a fly strip behind the monitors.Remove all pest activities. Address all sanitation and structural concerns identified by your pest control technician.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • There was a build-up of debris in the following areas- on the pushcart- the floor by the grease interceptor under the frozen beverage machine- by the grease interceptor in the dishwashing areaClean the areas noted above.

      • Repeating violationFlies were observed under the front hand sink, in the customer area and back of house.Retain the services of a professional pest control company for treatment of flies and provide pest control reports to an Executive Officer of Alberta Health Services.

      • There was a cork board at the egg cooking station.Replace the cork board with another board that is smooth, non-absorbent to moisture and easy to clean.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • There was grease on the probe thermometer at the egg cooking station.Clean and sanitize the probe thermometer.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1) Ground coffee was noted in drawers.2) There was debris on the pushcart and under the dump sink and the frozen beverage machine.Clean the areas noted above.3) The area around the grease interceptor at the back of house was obstructed by cardboard and bags of garage.Declutter and organize the area. All areas must be accessible for cleaning and pest control monitoring.

      • 1) Small flies were noted in the back preparation area. Staff advised there were a lot of flies approx. 2 weeks ago. Please continue to use control measures to mitigate issues with flies. Ensure garbage is removed and surfaces/floors are thoroughly cleaned each night.2) Small flies were noted in the front sandwich prep area.
