    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • Foam had been added to north wall of infant room for soundproofing. The foam was porous and not easy to clean. Remove foam from first 3-4 feet of wall or cover with material that is impervious to moisture. Walls must be easy to clean and impervious to moisture.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • There was no hand soap available at diapering hand wash sink in infant room. Ensure both sink in infant room are equipped with soap.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Diapering pad in preschool room was covered with vinyl tablecloth. The table cloth was not secured to diapering pad and was difficult to clean. Replace with tight fitting waterproof cover or waterproof diapering pad. 2. Diapering pads in other two rooms were taped along the edge. Replace with pads that are smooth and easy to clean. Tape cannot be easily cleaned.

      • Reading lamps used in toddler room pose a risk, as the lamp could be pulled off of shelf if children pulled on cord. Remove lamps or install plastic conduit for cord so that it cannot be accessed/pulled.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • 1. Handwashing basin in infant room had run out of paper towels. This was restocked during the inspection. 2. Bibs and other toys were placed in or near the diapering handwash basin in infant room. Ensure staff are reserving this sink only for handwash and using the other sink for any toy or equipment washing.

      • Chlorine test strips were not available for checking 100 ppm bleach solution concentration. Please obtain test strips.
