    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Observed a significant accumulation of dust and debris on the flooring underneath the deep fat fryer and two (2) grill units. Note that this same infraction had been observed on previous inspection of the same food concession.Immediate cleaning of above areas is required and thereafter on a regular and routine basis to prevent this type of build-up from occurring.UPDATE TO APRIL 8, 2025:Above has not been addressed - please complete this cleaning task.UPDATE TO FEBRUARY 5, 2026:Above housekeeping item is still an issue - several french fries and grease was observed underneath the deep fat fryer and which requires immediate cleaning.Moreover, there is also a significant accumulation of grease on the canopy hood filters which requires immediate cleaning.Finally, noted that Hydroblast had carried out a professional cleaning of the hood in May 2025 and is not due again till May 2026 - in compliance.

    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • 1) Kenmore domestic refrigerator/freezer unit: cold holding temperatures were measured with the infrared thermometer and in compliance. Also verified that each compartment is equipped with a Bios thermometer to monitor proper cold holding temperatures.2) Magic Chef refrigeration unit: measured temperature with both the digital and infrared thermometers and was at approximately 6 - 7 degrees C which is not in compliance with the required 4 degrees C or less. Moreover, the unit did not have a thermometer to monitor proper cold holding temperatures and subsequently a thermometer is required.3) Pepsi 2 door cooler unit: measured the temperature at 0 C and which is in compliance. However, this same unit did not have a thermometer to monitor cold holding temperatures and another one is required to be in place.

    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Observed all required work completed with the exception of the water stained ceiling tiles (2) above the Pepsi cooler in the food concession.Have previously received assurances that the previous water infiltration has been addressed and simply require the replacement of the existing water stained ceiling tiles.

    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Observed no thermometers in both refrigeration units (including the Pepsi cooler) - purchase and install accurate thermometers near the door to monitor proper temperatures.Also noted that the following temperature readings were taken and which were all satisfactory:Pepsi cooler: 1.9 CKenmore refrigerator and freezer compartments: 2.1 C and -22 C respectively.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Require chlorine test strip papers for ensuring proper chlorine levels for the sanitizing step for dishwashing (manual in this facility).These test strip papers can be purchased on-line through Amazon and costs approximately $20 to buy.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • In this concession, a 3 stainless steel sinks are provided and one of these sinks can be then utilized for hand washing.However, please ensure that the wall mounted paper towel dispenser is full (empty at the time of inspection) and a wall mounted liquid soap dispenser should also be provided at these sinks.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Burnt out fluorescent tubes (3) at the following locations:1) Ceiling light fixture above dishwashing sink area - one tube is burnt out.2) Ceiling light fixture to the right of the exhaust canopy hood - two (2) tubes are non-functional and requires replacement to provide more adequate lighting to easier facilitate cleaning.3) Replace/repair as necessary the rubber coving at wall floor junction to the left of the dishwashing sinks.4) Replace water stained ceiling tiles above the Pepsi cooler - informed by the Town of Tofield that water leak has been resolved and subsequently can move forward with this replacement. Further note that this same deficiency had been previously documented on past inspection reports.
