      • Observed expired 2024 - 2025 Food Handling Permit posted on the wall in the kitchen facility.Confirmed that the owner is up-to-date on the food handling permit payment and will subsequently email the valid food handling permit to the owner for printing and posting.

    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • There is currently the following in the kitchen at the Tofield Golf Clubhouse for dishwashing:1) Two compartment stainless steel sinks.2) Samsung domestic type mechanical dishwasher.Informed owner originally in 2023 (machine was installed in late 2022) that domestic type dishwasher do not meet our legislative requirements for water temperature and sanitizing for dishwashing and subsequently would require the installation of a commercial type dishwasher.If agreed by the owner, the three compartment sink method could be completed in the existing two compartment sinks but ideally should be three sinks in total for proper dishwashing.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Acknowledge the purchase of a new domestic Samsung dishwasher in the kitchen facility to replace the previous one.As discussed today (July 31, 2023), the utensils (e.g. - mainly coffee cups, cutlery, bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc.) will be washed and rinsed in the 2-compartment sinks and then transferred to the dishwasher for the final sanitizing step.The addition of chlorine (liquid bleach) will need to be carried out manually and which is normally 1 tablespoon (15 mL) for every gallon of water.Finally, the final sanitizing step must be checked/verified with the chlorine test strip papers (provided by EPH) and there initially might be some trial and error before perfecting the correct amount to dispense into the machine.

      • No hand washing sink in the kitchen - is required for food establishments which prepare and cook foods.
