      • ***there was a concern with the toilet paper dispenser being in disrepair in the boys washroom. discussed alternatives to wall mounted dispensers. (a stand alone holder).

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • ***There were two boxes of expired medication out to be returned to the parents when they dropped off the child. Wehn more children arrived they were moved to a higher shelf. During the inspection they were returned to the locked medication box.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • ***There was a concern with one set of cubbies appearing to be unfinished wood and having some build up on the high touch surfaces. Corrected following the inspection and pictures were received of the re-finished cubbies.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • ***There were a couple unused sinks in the facility. Discussed ensuring that the traps are maintained weekly with water being put down the drains to prevent sewer gas from getting into the building. Maintenance information for plumbing traps was provided. Ensure traps are filled weekly so they are functioning.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • ***there was a concern with the emergency exit being obstructed with carts. Disussed that the emergency exit was to be clear, wheeled carts were not to be stored in front of the emergency exit door.

      • ***There were some damaged magnetic building blocks that were removed during the inspection (partly exposed magnets, uncleanable components and sharp plastic edges).
