    • 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
      • Observation: The following conditions were observed during the inspection: 1) Weather-stripping was in disrepair. 2) Staff were keeping back door partially open during break. Such conditions can allow the entry of pests.
      • Corrective Action: Supervisor was made aware to fix the exit door properly and staff to ensure that they close the door at all times.

    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: There was excessive dust accumulated on the walls and fans of the walk-in cooler
      • Corrective Action: The dust propelled onto the walls can be deposited onto the foods stored in the cooler which may potentially lead to cross contamination of food products. The operator was told to clean the walls and fans of the walk-in cooler and follow the sanitation plan for regular cleaning.
    • 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
      • Observation: A broom and garbage picking devices were stored right beside a rack full of food supplies in front of the walk-in cooler
      • Corrective Action: Placing janitorial equipment right beside the food products may lead to cross contamination. The operator must move the janitorial equipment to another area away from the food products.
