      • Viewed aftermath of the flooding event this past weekend - at the time of inspection, there is no standing water accumulation on the vinyl flooring of the facility and fan was on to help disperse the moisture.Also confirmed that the restoration company (Grime Busters) has been contacted and is scheduled to carry out a sanitizing of the facility today (June 23, 2026).

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • DIAPER CHANGE TABLE AT TODDLER'S AREA:1) Noted improper amount of chlorine (bleach) solution for the diaper change surface - proper concentration should be minimum 100 ppm chlorine which is approximately 1/2 tsp for every liter of water. According to the Director, approximately 2 tsp for every 500 mL of water is being made and which exceeds the correct amount - please adjust accordingly.2) Safety belt for the diaper change surface is provided; however, discussions with the Director reveals that the Staff do not use this safety belt when changing the child's diapers. Please ensure all Staff are using the safety belt moving forward.

    • 07. Is this facility properly constructed (Critical)?
      • Due to a total of approximately 80 - 100 mm of rain which fell in the Town of Tofield on July 23 - 24, 2023, the significant amount of rain in such a short period of time overwhelmed the capacity of the rain water collection system for the building and resulted in a significant amount of mostly rain water and a combination of black (toilet) and grey (sink waste water) which overflowed from Apartment #1 suite (directly above the day care facility) and which penetrated through the ceiling tiles and into the day care facility.Following this incident, the required clean-up work was carried out by B & M Plumbing, Tofield; however, the current system which is connected to the sanitary sewer line will need to be changed and this work will also be completed by B & M Plumbing.Discussions with B & M Plumbing regarding time to complete this work was discussed and subsequently a time frame of August 8, 2023 has been given to complete this.Once completed, the day care facility should provide our Department with a receipt/invoice from B & M Plumbing verifying completion of this work.
