    • Critical Improper Cleaning, Sanitizing of Equipment and Utensils
      • The bleach sanitizer onsite registered at 50ppm chlorine residuals. This is below the effective concentration of 100-200ppm chlorine residuals.
      • Operator refreshed the solution to register at 200ppm chlorine residuals. Ensure to refresh and test regularly. Don't store in the sunlight as it degrades the chlorine faster.
    • Food Not Protected - General
      • Facility has no chlorine test strips onsite to validate the concentration of the bleach sanitizer.
      • Acquire unexpired chlorine test strips to confirm the effective concentrations, every time the solution is prepared. Send a photo to area EHO to confirm it's been received. Comments Routine inspection conducted. Action items: - Submit a proposed floor plan for the new proposed unit for milling. This must be approved by the area EHO prior to moving over the equipment. Comments: - Facility processes flour, cereal, and bags of grain. Product is dispensed via pre-orders, sold in retail markets, and to bakeries. - Refrigeration room registered between 5.9-6C. Operator stated that temperature shouldn't exceed 15C for the storage of grains. No potentially hazardous foods are stored onsite. - Operator monitors moisture, humidity, temperature in the refrigeration room. - Temperature logs from previous years were available for the refrigeration room. Last reading was from October 20/2026. Ensure to regularly maintain logs for the current year to ensure temperature for cold storage is achieved. - No signs of pest activity observed during time of inspection. - Air cleaner is available overhead in the milling room to filter out dust/mill particulates.
