- Facility uses "Star San," which is not an approved sanitizer for commercial food establishments in Alberta (active ingredients are phosphoric acid and dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid). This product does not have a Drug Identification Number (DIN). Facility does not have a means to test sanitizer concentration. Corrective action - One of the following must be implemented for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces:1. Use a different sanitizer that has already been approved by AHS (chlorine, quaternary ammonium, or iodine) and obtain the appropriate test strips.2. Contact the PHI to be approved for the use of an alternative sanitizer that meets the following requirements from AHS- Has a Drug Identification Number (DIN) issued by Health Canada. - Be suitable as a no-rinse sanitizer for food contact surfaces.- Must be tested using appropriate equipment to measure the concentration of the active ingredient.

- Based on your proposed level of food service and for any potential expansion of your menu - you will need an additional sink for hand washing purposes.This sink will need to be located in the area of your current 2 compartment sink or near your front service counter ( where you have the popcorn machine and hot dog roller machine ).This hand wash sink will need to be stocked with liquid soap and paper towel in dispensers, within reach of the sink they serve.
