- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- Some flies were observed in the produce area by the cabbages, apples and onions. Staff indicated that the pest control company comes biweekly and they will be coming again due to the recent complaint. Staff also checks on the produce and performs culling and rotation on a nightly basis. Cleaning would be conducted in the evenings. Soap and QUAT used for cleaning and sanitizing. Discussed with operator some suggestions to help reduce flies.
