      • Observation: Walk-in cooler floor in parts needs cleaning. Target puddles of stagnant water. Remove wood slats from shelves that are not cleanable. Significant ice build up in walk-in cooler #1
      • Some areas of main processing floor observed with puddles.
      • Corrective Action(s): Clean up as discussed. make sure all areas where water puddles are dry-mopped at the end of cleaning to ensure water doesn't build-up. Defrost cooler unit #1 and perform a thorough clean-up.

    • 303 - Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
      • Observation: The metal storage shelf is worn out and rusted badly.
      • Corrective Action(s): Replace this shelf with a new stainless steel shelf. (By April 15, 2018)

    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Sealed ham rounds (approx. 25) were found stored in cardboard boxes that were previously used for storing raw poultry.
      • According to the operator these hams were purchased from Davis Meats in Abbotsford.
      • Corrective Action(s): Hams must be property labelled and shipped in clean new cardboard boxes. As a precaution to prevent cross contamination, all rounds must be dipped in 200 ppm chlorine sanitiizer solution for at least 5 minutes. After air drying the packages, they must be stored in new clean card board boxes. (Immediately).
