      • 1) Stabilized chlorine products are being used to maintain the free chlorine residual. The use of stabilized chlorine in public pools is not permitted as it can lead to a buildup of cyanuric acid, which reduces the effectiveness of disinfection and may compromise water quality and safety.- Discontinue the use of stabilized chlorine products. Use an appropriate unstabilized chlorine source to maintain proper disinfection levels in accordance with pool standards.2) Water in the skimmers was stagnant, not readily flowing over the weir.-Ensure that the majority of the pool water that is being recirculated comes from the skimmer, as the water at the surface is the most contaminated. Operator may want to reduce the amount of water being drawn into the recirculation system through the main drain by adjusting the valve.
