    • Toys are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
      • Disinfect plastic mouthed toys after each use (use a dirty bin).
      • Clean and disinfect infant/toddler toys with an approved disinfectant daily.
      • Clean and disinfect preschool toys with an approved disinfectant weekly, and when soiled.
      • Wash dress up clothes and soft washable toys in washing machine in hot water and dry with hot heat at least weekly and when soiled.
      • Remove damaged toys from facility.
      • Remove mouth toys from facility (blow pipes, whistles, harmonica, etc.).
      • Use individual containers for water play for children in diapers or for children with an infection.
    • Personal items provided and maintained to prevent the spread of infection.
      • Label each child's toothbrush and toothpaste. Store out of reach, away from toilet area and so that they do not touch each other.
      • Provide each child with their own clean bedding.
      • Wash bedding in hot soapy water and dry on hot heat weekly and when soiled.
      • Clean and disinfect crib mattresses, cots and mats if soiled and before assigning to another child.
      • Store children's personal belongings in individual cubbies or lockers.
    • Facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
