      • The ambient temperature of the display cooler was measured to be at 5.6C at the time of inspection. The operator was informed and the temperature was adjusted to 3.6C. Please ensure that all refrigeration units are maintained at 4C or lower to ensure safe food storage.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • The hand sink was observed to be obstructed with some drying mats at the time of inspection. The items were removed and the manager was informed.Please ensure that the handwashing sink is kept unobstructed to help ensure and encourage regular and proper hand hygiene.

      • The prep cooler is currently undergoing maintenance. Please ensure that the remaining equipment of concern is able to hold perishable foods at 4C or lower to prevent the growth of illness-causing pathogens.

      • QUAT test strips were not observed at the time of inspection.Please ensure that testing equipment is available for confirming and monitoring food-grade sanitizer concentrations.

      • The prep cooler is currently undergoing maintenance. The Pepsi cooler was measured to have an ambient temperature of 2.8-4.8C. Please ensure that the remaining equipment of concern is able to hold perishable foods at 4C or lower to prevent the growth of illness-causing pathogens.

      • Temperatures of the Pepsi cooler and prep cooler were measured at 8.7C and 8.1C respectively. Staff had concerns with the temperature of the coolers. Food was also mentioned to be stored in the coolers overnight. The operator was asked to discard the perishable food in the coolers and have the units adjusted/repaired.Please ensure that the noted equipment is able to hold perishable foods at 4C or lower to prevent the growth of illness-causing pathogens.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • Facility has not provided notice to the health authority of this new food establishment. A food permit has yet to be issued. Operator was informed of this concern and will reach out to the owner. Please ensure that a food permit application is submitted for this food establishment.
