    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • It was observed that the cooking line hand sink did not have water supplied. The water supply valves underneath the sink were in an "off" position. The operator has ordered an equipment part to repair the sink. An extension has been given to correct the deficiency. In the meantime, for hand hygiene utilize the hand sink near the dishwashing station.

      • The hand sink in the food preparation area had no hand wash soap at the time of the inspection.Hand washing is one of the important ways to prevent food contamination and spread of germs.At all times, all hand wash sinks in a food establishment should be stocked with appropriate handwashing supplies which includes: soap in a suitable dispenser or container, hot and cold running water, paper towel or mechanical hand dryer.Staff refilled the soap dispenser with handwash soap.

      • No pest control monitory activity was being carried out in the facility. Also, no pest control record was available on site at the time of inspection.Pest control monitoring and proper record of pest control monitory activity are required in a food facility to prevent pest from harboring and spreading harmful germs, food contamination and other forms of damages. Staff was advised to start pest control monitoring activity and to maintain a proper monthly record of pest control monitoring activity.A sample of pest control monitoring checklist will be emailed to staff when sending out this report.

      • At the time of inspection, it was observed that the ventilation hood in the kitchen has passed its scheduled servicing date.Regular maintenance and timely servicing of the kitchen ventilation system is required to ensure equipment is working properly and to prevent fire hazard.Please arrange immediate servicing of the kitchen ventilation hood.
