Inspection summary
7-Eleven #37772 has been inspected 7 times by Interior Health Authority since November 17, 2017. The most recent inspection, on March 23, 2026, found no infractions.
2 of 7 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 0 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Protecting food from contamination and Food temperature control.
Recent inspections have recorded fewer infractions than earlier ones, so the record is improving.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded 4 times across 4 separate inspections, most recently on July 4, 2024. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk
This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.
Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on July 4, 2024. For example:
5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on March 31, 2025. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
Permits, records and postingLower risk
Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.
Recorded once on November 1, 2022. For example:
1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded once on July 4, 2024. For example:
1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

- Monitoring
1 infraction
- F1.2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
- Observation(s): Condiment cooler for hot take-out foods is overstocked, restricting adequate ventilation air flow to keep product cold. Noted approximately 6° C. *Monitor and adjust to 4° C. If stuck on defrost, contact a qualified professional to repair. **Advise the EHO when the cooler has stabilized temperature control or required repair.
- F1.2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
- Monitoring
3 infractions
- F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
- Observation(s): The 'Multi'-Quat sanitizer now provided by your chemical supplier requires the correct test strips (QT40 or 44), not QT10
- F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Quat sanitizer dispenser to be monitored under a qualified professional to ensure correct strength, as it is presently greater than the minimum of 200 ppm (Noted ~500ppm).
- F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
- Observation(s): *Walk-in cooler ventilation fans and covers are due for cleaning. Schedule in your Sanitation Plan. *Due to the limited storage space in the warewashing room, and the proximity of the shelving unit right beside the wash sink of the 3 compartment ware washing sink, there is potential for wash water splashing onto stored dry product boxes (single service wares; condiment sauces). **Install a splash guard along the wash sink to prevent over-splash onto products on shelving should food products require storage space. Or alternatively, only store sealed chemical containers on the shelves next to to ware washing sinks. NOTE: This is a repeat infraction from November 2022.
- F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): *Ensure all handles of equipment doors are routinely cleaned and sanitized as there appears to be some build-up in crevices.
- F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
- Observation(s): *Warewashing room and rear storage room areas are due for cleaning and re-organization. Dry storage product boxes and soda dispensing syrup boxes are stored on the floor. Accessibility to maintain cleaning as per Corporate's Sanitation-Maintenance Plan is hampered by the overstocking of products in the warewashing room and rear storage room. The garbage can is surrounded by product boxes. Improve pre-package dry product orders & storage space to maintain orderliness and install extra shelving to store items off the floor. **These deficiencies were identified in the previous inspection, December 4, 2019 *Due to the limited storage space in the warewashing room, and the proximity of a new shelving unit right beside the wash sink of the 3 compartment ware washing sink, there is evidence of wash water splashing onto stored dry product boxes. **Install a splash guard along the wash sink to prevent over-splash onto products on shelving.
- F2.5B The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.
- F2.5G Foods must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination.
- F3.1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?
- Observation(s): The operating permit with recent fee decal should be posted for patron's view
- F3.1A A valid permit to operate must be posted in a conspicuous location.
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Monitoring
2 infractions
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Checked Quat strength in spray bottle at 100 ppm. Ensure monitored daily as the strength dissipates over time. Replace when below 200 ppm. Bottle refilled at correct strength.
- F2.3D Sanitizer solution must be available and kept at the correct levels for adequate sanitizing action.
- F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
- Observation(s): F2.5B Warewashing room and rear storage room areas are due for thorough cleaning. Accessibility to maintain cleaning as per Corporate's Sanitation-Maintenance Plan is hampered by the overstocking of products. Improve pre-package dry product orders & storage space to maintain orderliness. F2.5J *Rear ware washing room is under construction to renovate the HVAC system. Ensure fluorescent light fixtures are returned into position with the luminaire covers or shatterproof sleeves over fluorescent bulbs, as discussed. *Rear storage room area also requires luminaire covers over light fixtures. They appear to have been removed and not replaced. *Reduce Pressure Backflow Prevention Device is leaking over the ware washing sink. The unit should be checked by a qualified professional in cross-connection control and annually tagged.
- F2.5B The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.
- F2.5J Artificial lighting must have shatterproof covers or shatterproof bulbs.
- F2.3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Monitoring
2 infractions
- F1.2 - Are proper hot holding procedures followed?
- Observation(s): Temperature check of hot-hold unit confirmed below 60° C. Use your installed NSF hot hold thermometer in the unit to verify correct temperature rather than the unit's setting. Ensure the dial thermometer inside is easily readable. Temperature adjusted during inspection and corrected to above 60° C.
- F2.3 - Are equipment, food contact surfaces and utensils washed, sanitized and stored in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
- Observation(s): Quat dispensing unit is not functioning correctly. Very little sanitizing strength. Potential air lock. Ensure Quat test strips used daily to monitor correct strength and to verify proper dispensing. Reviewed directions for manual dilution in the third compartment sink. Re-sanitize equipment and wares.
- F2.3C - Manual dishwashing procedure must provide sufficient washing and sanitizing action to remove contamination.
- F1.2 - Are proper hot holding procedures followed?

Maybe check the food is cooked before handing it to the customer. Again I have undercooked and cold taquitos. It's not hard to push a button and wait for the timer to count to zero. Also, two items that cook at different times and temperature shouldn't be cooked together. What does food safety mean? DO BETTER!!!!!!!

I came in here for the 7/11 festivities. I visited all four locations in town. At this location I tried the cream soda flavour. The staff was friendly.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this 7-Eleven because of the manager’s behavior. The manager talked to me in a rude and disrespectful manner for no reason. Instead of helping or communicating politely, the tone was aggressive and unprofessional. .This experience made me uncomfortable and I will think twice before visiting this location again.Even the night shift workers are very polite as compared to to manager

I just wanna let management know that this store is not good anymore. I’m regular customer here or you can say i was. Im not going there any more since that young rude lady joined. I think her name is hardeep or harpreet, whatever. That girl doesn’t even understand the customer. I don't know if she can understand or speak the language properly (basic necessity at customer service). Super rude and never been helpful. “Im not being racist here”. other people who are working here are sweet and helpful. So if she is managing this store then it is in wrong hands. I want HR to pay attention to people who they choose to manage their stores. At least choose a person who can communicate to the customers in a decent way. I've never encountered any rude staff at this location or other locations until I've dealt with this person. She doesn't have to be nice but at least don't be rude.

I had the worst customer service experience today. It was around 1 am on 25 March, and went in store and the lady there was super rude and do not care about somebody in the store. I think manager should care about the training these people so that u guys can keep some good customer with you. I ordered some food, though she was pretty fast in serving but she totally ignore that m waiting to pay and she was busy talking on her phone with AirPods on.

I’ve always enjoyed coming to this store for great coffee and friendly staff, but after today I’m done… when the assistant manager was too busy on the phone to bother with what I wanted or needed just shared the money … plus their fancy coffee machine only gives 2/3 of a medium reusable cup of coffee now with the no cream selected…

I've been in there 4 times this week, it's been a mess every time. The employees are super rude and unhelpful. The guy Manpreet double charged me twice and when was confronted about it, called me a liar and said if I don't like it go somewhere else. Will NOT be going back into this location as well as telling every single person about the rudeness and lack of any common decency.
