   • F2.1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?
     • Observation(s): 1) Quats test strips are expired. New non-expired test strips must be obtained. Provide me with a photo of the new test strips showing the expiration date by Jun 8 2022.
     • F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
   • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
     • Observation(s): 1) In the Facility's office/storage room, shelves for food and food packaging are stored on raw wood/particle board shelving. In the back storage area, food products are stored on similar porous material, and the walls are exposed dry wall with raw wood beams and running wires. The premise where food is stored (or handled in any way) must be constructed of materials that are smooth, nonporous and easy to clean. Raw wood or particle boards are porous and cannot be adequately cleaned and sanitized. Exposed wires running along the dry wall also make the area difficult to clean and sanitize. Have any exposed wood and/or wiring covered with a smooth, nonporous, nontoxic and easy to clean material; and have all raw wood shelving sealed or painted by November 30 2022.
     • F2.5B The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.
   • F2.6 Are the premises designed and equipped to ensure safe food handling?
     • Observation(s): 1) The bathroom door in the office/storage area must remain closed as this space opens directly into a food storage area. Post signage indicating so to inform all staff.
     • F2.6I Food premises operations must be separated from incompatible areas and activities.
   • F3.1 Does the operator have a valid operating permit or approval to operate?
     • Observation(s): 1) The facility has been handling cookie dough, baking, and then packaging the cookies for sale. The facility is permitted as a food store only. In order to handle any food, including baking and packaging, the facility must be permitted as a food service establishment, and receive approval from Interior Health. The operator will cease food handling operations immediately. If the facility wishes to be permitted as a food service establishment, please follow the approval process provided on our webpage.

     • Observation(s): PHF within the open display refrigerator measured at temperatures between 6-12deg.C. Refrigerator thermometer also showing 11-15deg.C at the time of inspection. One item discarded and other items moved to an alternate refrigerator at the time of inspection.
   • Are equipment, food contact surfaces and utensils washed, sanitized and stored in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
