      • The hand washing sink in the waxing room is not supplied with single-use towels to dry hands.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. A larger high-level disinfectant tray is required that is large enough to fully soak the metal foot files used for pedicure services. Obtain a plastic/glass tray with a lid.2. PreEmpt CS20 disinfectant is soon to expire. Obtain new high-level disinfectant (i.e. PreEmpt CS20, PreEmpt HLD5).3. Obtain (2) bottles of proper indicator test strips for the high-level disinfectant chosen. If using PreEmpt CS20, buy AHP7 indicator test strips. If using PreEmpt HLD5, buy AHP2 indicator test strips.4. High-level disinfectant logs are required to be maintained.5. Obtain PreEmpt RTU liquid disinfectant for the pedicure foot basins.6. Obtain a larger inexpensive container to allow for full immersion of large brushes/combs in barbicide.

      • Used nail files were discarded at the time of inspection. Re-iterated the requirement to discard single-use equipment such as foam/cardboard nail files, buffing blocks, toe separators, cardboard covers for rotary nail drill bits etc.
