- Popsicle sticks were being washed and reused by staff. Used popsicle sticks were observed in clean tool trays prepared for clients. Popsicle sticks were discarded during inspection. Porous non-cleanable items must be discarded after every use.

- Clean stainless steel nail tools (clippers, cuticle scissors) were not visibly clean - Rust, nail debris. Ensure that all tools are visibly clean before disinfection.

- 1. Foot file was not able to be fully submerged in high-level disinfectant Ensure that basin for high-level disinfectant adequately provides the space to entirely submerge all tools.2. No record keeping of high-level disinfectant testing. Keep a daily log of pass/fail for high-level disinfectant.

- Sharps container in reprocessing room was over filled. Bring sharps container to a pharmacy for proper disposal.

- 1. "Bio-Chich Ombre Liquid" removed during inspection for containing MMA. 2. "Four Seasons Acrylic Liquid" removed during inspection for containing MMA. Ensure that all products on site do not contain ingredients on Health Canada's Cosmetic Ingredient Hot List

- Client care areas (manicure stations) are visibly dirty with dust and debris. Manicure tables had significant build up of manicure products. Sufficiently clean and disinfect client care areas. Including windowsills that had a large accumulation of dust.

- Staff were not using a high level disinfectant, did not know that they needed to, was stacking wet/disinfected equipment. Staff do not have adequate knowledge on cleaning and disinfection of equipment. Provide step by step written instructions for staff on cleaning and disinfection. Post in tool cleaning area.

- Facility provides waxing services but does not have a skin cleanser for waxing. Obtain a skin cleanser or remove waxing services.

- Staff cleaned an emery board. Ensure this is discarded after use as it is a one time use only product.

- 1. Facility is not using a high level disinfectant. Obtain a high level disinfectant and test strips. Test disinfectant daily and log the concentration. 2. Using flexi clean for pedicure basins. This product has a 10 minute disinfection time. Facility is just spraying and leaving. Obtain a disinfectant that has a lower disinfection time to allow for quick turn over.

- Popsicle sticks were stored in foot scrub and were re-used. Ensure popsicle sticks are used once and then discarded. Ensure the bulk supply is not contaminated.

- Areas by the windows and topside, drawers of shelf that was infront of the waxing room were dusty. Please clean thoroughly

- Build up of dust, debris, wax, and nail gel/polish on the shelving units, nail supplies, in drawers, the waxing bed, floors, and UV lamps. Ensure facility is thoroughly cleaned.

- 1. Tools were found wet and stacked on top of each other on a small rolling cart after being disinfected. Ensure tools are separated out and placed flat, not in contact with each other so that they can adequately dry.2. There is not enough space, on the counter or shelving, in the tool reprocessing room to adequate clean and disinfect tools. Remove storage items from reprocessing area and provide more counter or shelving space to adequately clean and disinfect tools. 3. Fish tank pump and supplies stored in waxing/reprocessing room. Remove fish tank and supplies as facility does not have adequate space for this activity to be separate from the personal services business.
