    • 19(1)(a) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (a) that the risk of contaminating the food is minimized;
      • Repair your heat sanitizing dishwasher so that it operates in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Section 4.2.7 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code. Manually wash and sanitize your dishes in accordance with Section 4.2.8 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code until the dishwasher is repaired.
    • 19(2)(b) A food establishment must provide all of the following in accordance with applicable legislation or as considered acceptable by the Administrator: (b) adequately designed and appropriately located hand-washing facilities;
      • In accordance with Section 2.15 of the NS Food Retail and Food Services Code, you must equip hand wash stations in toilet rooms for staff and the public with paper towel dispensers.
    • 33(2) The operator must ensure that all refrigeration and heat-holding equipment has a temperature measuring device that is accurate and in good repair.
      • In accordance with Section 4.1.11 of the Nova Scotia Food Services and Food Retail Code, you must: have a functioning thermometer(s) on all heating and cooling equipment; and calibrate all thermometers routinely and maintain calibration logs. Obtain probe thermometers for measuring internal cooking and hot holding temperatures of food, and maintain a calibration log to ensure their continued safe functioning.
    • 9(a) An operator must renew a permit, other than a temporary permit, on or before the expiry date by submitting a completed renewal application to the Minister on a form approved by the Administrator together with all of the following: (a) the applicable fee prescribed in Section 5;
      • Ensure that the permit holder, THE LIONS CLUB OF BARRINGTON, is in good standing with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies and submit a completed permit renewal application with the applicable fee.
