This place has withstood the test of time and has modern updates, including fiber-optic internet service, a heated pool, and 50-amp sites - somewhat rare in Canada. Otherwise, it is small, rustic, and not set up for long-term entertainment for children. However, for an overnight or short-term stay with kids, it is adequate. For a longer-term stay without kids, it is perfect. We stayed in early May of 2026, a few weeks before the campground officially opened for the 2026 season. We called and were welcomed to stay with the understanding that no water, sewer, or 50-amp service would be available. We had perfect 30-amp service and a great site. The owner was friendly, fair, and accommodated us even though he was busy getting the facility ready for the official opening. Yes, he has 50-amp sites, FHUs, and is big rig friendly. However, that part of the campground is the last to be opened, which is why we only had 30-amp service. We had no problem navigating the roads with our 43-foot RV and toad, making us nearly 65-feet. However, when busy, common sense would suggest disconnecting the toad prior to pulling into your site.

Always our place to stop for a few days. Washrooms/showers are clean, laundry room and of course the outdoor pool. ||Close to 100 Mile House to shop. Dogs are allowed on leash and there is a pet walking trail.

Great campsite if you need to stay for a night while travelling along Highway 97. Somewhat noisy if you are looking for a more quiet and long term stay. Owners are friendly and helpful. I had a great experience, just depends on what you're after.

Being that its a campground, there are no rooms. The owner is nice and polite, the pool is fantastic, perfect temperature and barely any chemicals!! The washrooms/showers are quite large and very well kept, close to the highway so there a fair amount of road noise but 100 mile is 15 minutes down the road for all amenities. We will be coming here from now on as long as he stays open.

Exactly what you hope to find when checking in to an “unknown” campground. Friendly host, easy check in and very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers were excellent. Didn’t use the laundry facilities but they look amazing. Highly recommend this little campground.

One of the best RV park in BC, Canada. It has free hot showers, heated pool, playground, mail service, sauna, hiking trail, free Wi-Fi and so much more. The hosts are fantastic.

Stayed here 1 night as it was the 1/2 way point heading home. |The owner was very friendly and helpful (I had phoned about an hour before arriving to see if there was space) He gave us our choice of a few sites. There was a playground there that my 4 year-old enjoyed. The pool was a bonus, the owner opened it for us to be able to have a swim before we left as it's not usually open until 10. The spots were nice and shady. There were several amenities I seen although as we were only there for one night I didn't need to use. The little shop seemed well stocked for a campground store. |Washroom was roomy and clean. |Considering we were just off the highway I didn't notice a lot of highway noise. |Definitely would stay here again and possibly extend it to a few days.

This park gets 5 stars for being a very nice and convenient place to stay for the night while traveling down 97. Nice owner, clean bathroom and free hot showers, grassy sites, hookups, and even a swimming pool! We were glad we tried it!

John - owner - may go for a load or delivery in town. If you’re coming to checkin he usually leaves a sign on the interior door of the office to choose a spot. Be aware, if you have a small tent or trailer, some spots he reserves for large …

Awesome stay with John at Big Country! The bathrooms were the cleanest I had seen in some time at a campground + it has music playing and is heated. The tent site I stayed in was just what I needed for a good night's rest. John opened up …
