Our family brought us here as they are members, because they love these wines. Black Swift may be the ‘more posh’ of the Jason Parkes wineries, it is still very accessible. We had a lovely time, with incredible views and great wine. From their website: “Perched in the hills of wine country, our tasting room is open every day, and no reservations are needed. But if you're the planning type (or showing up on a sunny weekend), booking ahead ensures you get the full experience. Expect bold, single-vineyard wines, a few surprises, and zero pretentiousness. Whether you're new to the Okanagan wine scene or a returning regular, we've got a seat with your name on it.”

We visited this winery first thing in the morning during a tight and demanding road trip with my oldest son, who was visiting home in Vancouver on vacation from New York. Our itinerary was quite packed, driving through Nakusp Hot Springs and staying overnight in Kelowna, but looking out at the wide-open lake and beautiful vineyards here gave us a much-needed, truly healing moment. In the past, I usually only visited the famous, large-scale wineries when coming to Kelowna, but this place has definitely made me want to return in the future. We did a tasting here and bought a bottle of Riesling, which was absolutely delicious. I came with the wrong information that the $15 tasting fee would be waived upon purchase, but even so, the experience was worth every penny and felt like a wonderful investment of our time. Highly recommended!

Good winery with great views. We came for the tasting. Price is a bit high at $15, but they waive the fee if you buy a bottle. The downside is they have a fixed 5 wines for tasting, you can’t choose a different one, but overall their wines are very good. It’s worth a visit! Visit my instagram: @nextdestination

Came here for a wine tasting, and all the wines were fantastic. The view is also absolutely stunning, with a seating area outside that is right up against the grape vines. Ryan helped us with the tasting, and he was great! Really knowledgeable!

James guided us through our tasting and was absolutely fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond even helping us with our camera settings, took some lovely pictures for us, and even gave us a written list of suggestions for other wineries in the area with specific details. We had an amazing time and 100% be back.

How to lose a customer in less than 10 minutes? Leave them standing waiting to be seated for one. Leave them standing at the door looking for somebody to seat them and three leave them seated and not coming to see if they want to do a tasting. Today they seemed far too interested in recording what appeared to be a commercial or social media post to come and see if we would like to have a tasting. Possibly they were short-staffed and didn't have enough people on in order to look after their customers properly.

I wasn’t familiar with this winery when it was recommended by A Grape Experience for our tour, but what an awesome place. The wines were excellent and our tasting experience held outside at the picnic table beside the vines enjoying the stunning views was perfect. Loved hearing about the bird the winery is named after. The view was beautiful, and I now have a few new favourite wines, with the coolest names, like Screaming Frenzy?! Love it! Love this winery!

Disappointed and underwhelmed. We went to this winery in its early days as well as the other Jason Parkes wineries. Loved our first experience at Black Swift back then and had always meant to return. We have been members of the Jason Parkes club for a handful of years (Crown & Thieves) and dropped it last year because we had too many winery memberships. No complaints at all about our membership. BUT today we finally decided to return to Black Swift and it wasn’t great. Only four wines included in the tasting and VERY small pours. For $15 a person. If charging that much and pouring that little, should at least pour more than four wines. Left feeling ripped off and like there was nothing really special about this winery anymore, as compared to others in the valley. If we return it would be to enjoy a bottle on the beautiful patio area but will never do a tasting there again. The wines are very nice but overall the experience was lacking.

Emily took excellent care of us and catered to our tasting palates. The wine is fantastic if you’re looking for really good reds. The white is lovely too, but the reds just kept getting better and better.
