      • The following written procedures were not developed at the time of the inspection:- the cleansing of skin and mucous membranes.REQUIREMENT: Complete the above written procedures and send to the PHI for review.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Operator has CS20 disinfectant and intends to reuse it over the reuse period, but there were no appropriate testing strips, and a high-level disinfecting log was not developed.A template log was shown to the operator at the time of the inspection.REQUIREMENT: Complete the above sections of the template log and obtain proper testing strips.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • The stainless-steel reprocessing sink needs cleaning before use.REQUIREMENT: Clean the sink thoroughly. Ensure before tool cleaning it is inspected for cleanliness.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • The reprocessing sink is located at a bar sink which is reportedly not being used. There was still liquor storage and a microwave in the area, indicating food preparation may occur.REQUIREMENT: No food preparation will occur at the sink or countertop. Relocate any food and drink products, as well as the microwave.
