- Ensure that the personal service setting is kept free from animals, including birds, aquatic species and reptiles
- Service animals described in subsection 80.45(4) of Ontario regulation 191/11 (Integrated Accessibility Standards) made under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 are exempt from exclusion
- Hand hygiene being performed at appropriate times
- Work surfaces are of such form and material that they can be readily cleaned and disinfected
- Ensure all furniture is smooth, impermeable, easily cleanable and maintained in sanitary condition
- Records are kept in regards to the use of high-level disinfectants at the premise
- Disinfection records must include the name of the disinfectant
- Disinfection records must include the concentration of the disinfectant
- Disinfection records must include the date when the disinfection was prepared, if applicable
- Disinfection records must include the date by which the disinfectant solution must be discarded, if applicable
- Clients wash and dry hands prior to service
- Clients must wash their hands and thoroughly dry them prior to nail treatments.
- Nail service items cleaned and disinfected appropriately
- Nail service equipment and instruments must be cleaned and then intermediate to high-level disinfected between clients.
