      • Chlorine test strips expired. **Obtain new chlorine test strips.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • 1. Mouse droppings observed on the floor in the dry storage area adjacent to the freezer and vent. **Do not sweep or vacuum when removing the mouse droppings. Clean and disinfect hard surfaces with a strong bleach solution. (1 part bleach in 9 parts water). Continue with pest control (Peregrine Pest Control). 2. Bottom corner of the back door had a small gap between the weather stripping. **Seal gaps to prevent the entry of pests and/or weather.

      • 1. Ventilation canopy grills were observed to have accumulation of grease/debris. **Clean. 2. Cleaning required in the lower cabinet containing the canola oil (located adjacent to the residential fridge).

      • Floor vent cover was missing behind the stand up freezer in the pantry. An accumulation of dust was observed in the insulation. **Install vent cover.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • 1. Ventilation canopy grills were observed to have accumulation of grease/debris. **Clean. 2. Cleaning required in the lower cabinet containing the canola oil (located adjacent to the residential fridge).

      • Test strips for the chlorine sanitizer in use at this facility could not be located during inspection. Acquire test strips to verify the strength of chlorine sanitizer.

      • The light cover for the back storage room was missing. A breakable light bulb has the potential to contaminate open utensil storage.Reinstall light cover.

      • Disposable coffee cups were observed being stored beneath one of the sinks in the kitchen. This storage presents a potential contamination risk.Move utensils away from wastewater lines and into other available shelving.

      • Several bottles of unlabeled chemical were identified during inspection.Ensure that any chemicals used in a food facility are properly labeled.
