      • Once a skin cleanser for eyelash services has been purchased, complete the written procedures for skin cleansing. Templates were left on-site.

      • A cleansing product is required for eyelash services.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Some cosmetic products were not properly labeled and were requested to be removed from the facility. The original/bulk supply must be labelled with product identity, manufacturer, directions for use and/or list of ingredients. This may require an operator to keep cosmetic products in its original packaging.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • A proper reprocessing sink is required for reuse of semi-critical tools/instruments (i.e. eyelash extension tweezers). Discussed sink requirements. A proper reprocessing sink must be connected to a permanent potable water system that is capable of producing hot and cold running water. It must have sufficient work surface area to adequately accommodate the placement of cleaned equipment. The work surface area and sink must be located in an area to which client access is restricted, and must not be located in a room that contains a toilet or in a kitchen.
