      • The suction outlets will expire on June 18, 2025 and must be replaced before the facility can reopen after the renovations. Ensure necessary documents are forwarded to the undersigned prior to reopening the pools.

      • Information provided to this office indicated that only routine maintenance was occurring to the mechanical system (sand replacement, valve repairs and some re-piping) however the smaller filter was removed and a backwash tank was installed. This type of change is a renovation and requires notification to AHS EPH for review and approval. While the pools were built before 2006 filtration changes requires prior discussion. Ensure that any further changes are reviewed and approved by AHS EPH.

      • 1. The flow rate for the smaller filter exceeds the maximum flow for the filter. Adjust the flow for the smaller filter to no more than 40 GPM.2. Eyeball return fitting in the foot well of the whirlpool requires replacement. Repair the eyeball fitting.3. Multiport valve on the smaller filter is leaking. Operator is aware and has contacted a service provider to source the replacement parts.

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Automated controller was in alarm mode as it was reading pH at 7.81 and free chlorine at 0.5 ppm. EcoLab was onsite and adjusted the controller settings as well as noted that flow to the controller was low. Water level in the whirlpool was topped up to improve skimming as well as bring up flow needed for the controller flow cell.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Daily record sheets are not complete and missing the following documentation:1. Set points for the controller (pH and free chlorine)2. Visual checks of the suction outlet covers.A template copy will be emailed for the operator to use.
