- 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following:
(e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
- Provide report from a licensed pest control company specific to the child care space. Child care must be assessed fully and remedies put in place for any potential openings such as ceiling tiles or gaps between pipes. Monitoring reports weekly or more often to be sent to Public Health Inspector.
- 23(1)(a) All equipment and utensils used to process, prepare, store, serve, sell or display food must be designed, constructed, installed and maintained to
(a) protect food from contamination;
- 1. Store all dried goods in closed plastic containers overnight. 2. Ensure there is no left over food or scraps left in sink overnight 3. Ensure the garbage and compost are emptied after each day. 4. Use 5000ppm bleach to clean up rodent droppings. 1/2 cup per litre of water
- 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:

- A rigorous cleaning schedule must be established prior to children arriving in the morning.

- 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done:
(b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
- Ensure areas affected by pests are cleaned and sanitized. Pest control company must be contracted to ensure all precautions are made to eliminate pests from building.
- 37(1) If directed by an inspector, a food establishment must maintain records that demonstrate the quality assurance system used to ensure food safety in the processing or preparation of a food.
- Ensure daily temperature logs are maintained for all cold holding units and dishwasher. Records must be made available to inspector upon request.
