    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Barbicide is being used to disinfect reuseable combs and brushes. The owner indicated that the solution is being changed once per week. However, the manufacturer's instructions on the Barbicide bottle states that the solution must be changed out daily. Please ensure that all jars containing Barbicide are emptied and replaced with fresh solution daily.

      • Please ensure that alcohol used to disinfect surfaces has DIN/NPN and manufacturer’s instructions for use on the appropriate classification of reusable equipment.Alternatively, a disinfectant with a DIN/NPN and manufacturer’s instructions for use on the appropriate classification of reusable equipment can be used (disinfection can occure after wash/rinse steps).
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Please ensure wax pots are covered when not in use/in between uses.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • Mobile sink observed with soap and paper towel in respectful dispensers in the aesthetics room.Please remember to keep the tank full with potable water and the grey water side is emptied regularly.Please ensure clients are not in the room when reprocessing non-critical equipment.Please ensure sink/taps are cleaned and disinfected before and after reprocessing.

      • The PREempt RTU (intermediate disinfectant) used to disinfect non-critical items is expired (August 2024). Ensure that all disinfectants used are not expired and are used according to the manufacturer's instructions.
