      • The flooring at the back prep area was worn out and exposed to unsmooth surfaces. - RepairWalk thru with market staff on April 24, repair will be completed within 2 weeks.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Mice droppings were noted under the dishwashing sink.Mice dropping noted April 24. Ensure the droppings are removed weekly to monitor pest activity.

    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The hot water faucet at the dishwashing sink was leaking. The flooring at the back prep area was worn out and exposed to unsmooth surfaces. - Repair
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The plastic bum warmer was melted that created unsmooth surfaces.- Replace the plastic part for smooth and easily cleanable surfaces.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Mice droppings were noted under the dishwashing sink.Excessive nonfood related items, such personal items, wooden block, ads board, were stored at the back storage area. Food debris were noted thorough the facility, namely behind the counters, front serving area. - Ensure the area is free of non-food related items, so the kitchen is accessible for cleaning and inspection, ensure the areas are cleaned and sanitized.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • The sanitizer spray bottle in the front area had no bleach content. The concentration of bleach must be maintained between 100 to 200ppm to effectively sanitize food contact surfaces. Make a new sanitizer solution every day and test with chlorine test strips. The operator remade the sanitizer solution at the time of the inspection and was tested at 100ppm.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips could not be identified during the time of the inspection. Chlorine test strips should be readily available and used daily to test the concentration of the bleach sanitizer solution. Testing the bleach solution can assure the correct concentration is used to effectively and safely sanitize food contact surfaces. Obtain chlorine test strips and ensure all staff are aware of where they are stored.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • ***Outstanding Violation - noted January 17, 2025***The operator stated the pest control company will be conducting an inspection on January 27, 2025.  Mouse droppings were observed on the floor under the two compartment sink in the back of the facility. Safely clean up mouse droppings and monitor for further activity. Ensure that adequate pest control is taking place in the facility.

      • Mouse droppings were observed on the floor under the two compartment sink in the front of the facility. Safely clean up mouse droppings and monitor for further activity. Ensure that adequate pest control is taking place in the facility.
