- Col's Kitchen Delights vendor was selling some home canned foods such as chili sauce, different flavors of chutney and some pickled smokies.Home canned foods are not allowed to be sold at the farmer's market unless tested in the lab as shelf stable.High risk foods cannot be packaged in sealer jars.Option for high risk foods mentioned above is to sell them in food grade containers other than sealer jars; these products must be kept refrigerated or frozen unless proven they are shelf stable.
