    • 14. Does the mobile food vendor have an adequate supply of potable hot and cold running water and is the water sampled at required intervals?
      • Required bacteriological water sample could not be collected at the time of inspection since the 40 gallon potable water tank was empty.Operator is to collect/submit a bacteriological water sample on Wednesday June 11, 2025 from the kitchen sink faucet and drop off directly at the Provincial Laboratory.

    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • Observed existing food handling permit expired on June 30, 2023.The owner has stated that she is unable to retrieve the email from the email address we have on file and subsequently will have to reissue another valid food handling permit.Once received, you will also need to secure the permit glass frame to the wall inside the mobile food unit and in full view of all patrons.July 11/24 Update:Valid permit in place, but not on display. Display required.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Lack of cover over florescent light unit, installation required.July 11/24 Update:Cover still not placed over light fixture. Installation required ASAP.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Overall cleaning improved from previous, however excess soil/debris still situated throughout including:- Recycling cans underneath toaster/mini oven table- Till receipts at right of till/serving area- Various dishes & utensils stored in 3 cpt sink and handwash basin (Sinks are not to be used for storage whjle operational)- Grease/debris accumulation evident on fume hood & grease filters, floor area underneath grill unit. ROUTINE cleaning of these areas required.

      • Water sample not submitted for 2024 operational season. Operator states uses bottled water in tanks, but bacteriological sample still required. Collection/submission of water sample required ASAP. July 25, 2024:Bacteriological water sample collected on July 23, 2024 was present for Total Coliforms - will relay the result to the submitter/mobile food truck owner for follow-up action. Mobile food truck will be paused for operations until water issue has been resolved.

      • Main upright fridge unit temp approx 16 degrees C at time of site visit. This unit is to be maintained at 4 Degrees C or less at all times perishable food items are stored here. Note - adjustment made at time of site visit.

      • Observed a significant amount of flies inside the mobile food truck at the time of inspection - please eliminate this issue to prevent the potential contamination of food.

      • Existing food safe certificate expired on June 2022 and informed the owner to retake the same on-line food safe course as soon as possible.Will also provide the owner with our listing of all on-line food safe courses equivalent to our AHS food safe course.

      • Excess debris accumulation throughout unit. Upright freezer unit to be defrosted and thoroughly cleaned top to bottom (interior). Miscellaneous containers/items underneath donut machine table, including donut machine, to be organized, cleaned and/or removed all together (owner states will not be used and therefore removed). Fume hood & grease filters to be thoroughly cleaned.
