    • 03. Are facility-specific written procedures established to adequately describe safe and sanitary practices?
      • (1) The operator completed the Written Procedure for Accidental Skin Cuts or Punctures at the time of inspection.* Ensure written procedure is kept on site, and the staff are aware of where it is stored.* Ensure the written procedure is presented to a PHI upon request.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • (1) Clippers had hair debris when taken apart. Discussed the steps used to clean this tool. There was no intermediate level disinfectant available for the hair clippers. Clippers shall be cleaned and disinfected as per manufacturer's instructions. * Tools are washed in the hair washing sink within the service room.* Reviewed the steps for cleaning and disinfecting all other tools. All tools must be washed with soap and water, dried, disinfected for the appropriate contact time in an adequate disinfectant, rinsed and dried before being used on a client. For proper disinfection, tools should be fully immersed in the disinfectant for the required contact time.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • (1) There was a blue spray bottle at the entrance that was not properly labeled. Confirmed this was a hand sanitizer for customers to use when entering the facility. There was a black unlabeled bottle with PREempt. A clear unlabeled bottle with water.* Ensure all refilled bottles or containers are properly labeled.
